Founded in 1867 in the small town of Bedford, Virginia, St. James Methodist Church has been a cornerstone in the Bedford community for over 150 years. The church has grown from a small congregation to a thriving, welcoming congregation of over 200 members. St. James Methodist Church is a traditional church with a long history of embracing both the old and new. We strive to honor our heritage while also embracing new opportunities for service and growth. We are a diverse congregation that welcomes people from all walks of life.
At St. James Methodist Church, we strive to provide a welcoming and uplifting atmosphere for members of all ages. We have a variety of ministries, including Sunday school for all ages, youth groups, music ministries, and more. Our worship services are traditional in style, but our music is contemporary in nature. We also have a wide range of special events throughout the year, such as retreats, mission trips, and more.
