Shiloh United Methodist Church: Celebrating 20 Years in 2023

Shiloh United Methodist Church, located in the heart of the small town of Shiloh, Texas, has been serving the community for the past 20 years. Established in 2003, the church has grown from a small congregation of just over 30 people to a thriving congregation of over 200 members today. Along the way, the church has been blessed with many new members and leaders, as well as its long-time members who have become pillars of the community. As the church celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2023, we look back on the journey and celebrate the blessings that have come from the church’s hard work and dedication.

The church was founded by the Rev. Dr. Daniel Rees, a pastor with a passion for helping people grow in their faith and in their relationship with God. He and a handful of other local pastors started the church with a vision of creating a safe and nurturing environment for people to come and worship. Since then, the church has grown to include a variety of ministries, from Bible study classes and small groups to youth groups and outreach programs. This growth has been possible thanks to the hard work of the church’s staff and volunteers, who have given countless hours of their time and energy to ensure that the church is able to provide a meaningful and purposeful experience for its members.

The church’s 20-year journey has also been marked by many successes. In 2021, Shiloh United Methodist Church was recognized as one of the top 10 churches in the nation by the United Methodist Church. This distinction was a testament to the church’s commitment to providing its members with the best possible worship experience. In addition, the church has been involved in a number of outreach initiatives, including hosting a weekly food pantry and community garden, providing scholarships to local students, and supporting a variety of charitable causes. With its dedication to helping others, it is no surprise that the church has become an important part of the local community.

These services have helped to strengthen the community and make it a better place to live and work.

The Church’s Future Plans

The church is planning to continue its outreach efforts, as well as expand its ministry to include more small groups and Bible study classes.
